Business Travel at U-M

The university’s electronic travel and expense system provides an electronic booking solution for all university business travel. The university has a number of travel contracts offering discounted rates, among other benefits, to university business travelers. In addition, booking within the travel and expense system or with Conlin Travel, the university’s designated travel agency, offers increased efficiency when reporting expenses.

To make airline reservations for university business travel, use the university’s travel program. Financial benefits available to the university include discounts, visibility into unused tickets, reduced change fees, and opportunities to transfer unused tickets between travelers.  The travel program includes a dedicated travel agency, an electronic travel and expense system, and mobile apps available to travelers.

When possible, lodging and car rental should be booked within the travel program as well. Booking within the program allows all travel information to be contained within one itinerary.  If traveling for a conference, you may book directly with the conference or hotel property if necessary to obtain the conference rate.

Conlin Travel is available to assist with online and agent-assisted travel bookings and provide expert travel related guidance and 24/7 assistance to travelers. Contact information for agent-assisted calls can be found on the Booking Travel page.
