Coronavirus (COVID-19) - Travel Information and Updates

Procurement Services will post information related to travel policy and processes as well as updates from travel suppliers as information is received.

Best practices and FAQs for making travel reservations for business travel during this time:

  • If there is any concern the trip will be canceled it is best to wait until closer to the departure date when purchasing airfare

  •  Purchasing refundable airfare is allowable when approved by a Dean or Major Director (for non academic units).  Trip cancellation insurance - it is important to read the fine print to make sure you know what circumstances are covered.  For instance, some trip cancellation insurance will not cover cancellation if airfare is purchased after warnings are issued for travel to a particular location.

  • When insurance vs. refundable airfare, compare the costs to help make the best decision

  •  Check airline information to stay up to date on the airline travel news

  • For real-time answers to other questions you can contact Conlin Travel at (855) 200-8785 or speak directly with the airline.
