U-M recently onboarded two new suppliers to support international shipping and customs clearance.
- Baker Logistics Consulting Services—Baker is U-M’s preferred customs broker and consultant for international shipping processes. Baker can assist with customs clearance, duty-free exemptions, ATA Carnets, and other regulatory requirements, ensuring shipments enter the United States smoothly. Most customs-related inquiries and activities for shipments not already cleared by shipping partners will be directed to Baker.
- Perimeter Global Logistics (PGL)—PGL is a global transportation company, contracted for freight cartage (over 150 pounds or packages that exceed the size limits accepted by small-parcel suppliers) and customs clearance, inclusive of shipments with duty-free exemptions and shipments with ATA Carnets.
