Amazon Business Prime is a university-wide approved method to purchase items not currently available in U-M’s Marketsite+ catalogs. The platform allows U-M to take advantage of Amazon’s wide product selection and competitive prices while enhancing procurement efficiency and accountability across the university.
Ordering

Users can access the account by logging in to Marketsite+ and clicking the link to Amazon Business.
Currently, you must be an authorized UM PCard holder to check out in Amazon Business. Non-PCard holders will be able to create lists to share for purchase by an authorized PCard holder. To learn more or request a PCard, visit the PCard program website.

I received an invitation from Amazon to join an account. Is it spam?
This is a legitimate invitation. Please click the link and follow the prompts to join the U-M Amazon Business account. The account is open for ordering starting May 5th. You can begin browsing the account, creating lists, and adding items to your cart. If you are a PCard holder, you can add your PCard to your Amazon Business account to check out. Users who do not hold a PCard can create a list of items and share them with a PCard holder in their department for purchase.
Why did I get an Amazon invitation?
You have received an invitation to join our central Amazon Business account because either you are a PCard holder or you have logged into Marketsite+ within the last two years.
I clicked the link in the invitation and received an error message.
If you are currently logged in on your browser with your personal Amazon account using a different email address than your U-M email address (for example, GMail, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc.) you will get an error message stating the invitation was for another user. Please log out of your personal Amazon account and then click the invitation which will have you login to the Amazon account tied to their @umich.edu email address. You can then take action from there.
I currently use my U-M email address for a personal Amazon account. What should I do?
If your personal account is currently attached to your @umich email address, we recommend updating your personal Amazon account to a personal email address to keep them separate.
