This is a University-wide agreement for on-demand executive car/sedan/SUV transportation services. Metro Cars offers service for local and long-distance trips and general transportation. Metro Cab, a division of Metro Cars, offers on-demand Taxi service both locally and regionally, along with airport transportation.
Metro Cars provides excellent products, pricing, and services; and meets all University insurance requirements. The Metro Car fleet is powered by propane fuel, a cleaner, more sustainable option. Metro Cars is a Michigan-based company, located in Taylor.
Purchasing Guidelines
Metro Cars fleet includes executive cars/sedans and taxis that will seat up to 4 passengers, and SUVs that will seat up to 7 passengers. Reservations for Executive cars/sedans and SUVs can be made via the Lightning Booking Tool in Wolverine Access, via the online booking portal or the Metro Cars app on the Apple or Google Play stores.
Important: if you require transportation services within less than 3-hours notice, please call the reservation center directly at 1-800-456-1701.
Reservations can be made 24/7, 365 days a year. University units must provide a shortcode or purchase order for payment. No prepayment or deposits are required. PCards are accepted via Lightning.

Metro Taxi Cabs can be booked through metrocabmichigan.com, or call call 734-997-6500 for Metro Detroit cabs and 616-827-6500 for cabs in the Grand Rapids area.

Metro Cars Cancellation Policy: in the event you need to cancel your reservation, please contact Metro Cars at least 2 hours prior to the scheduled sedan or SUV pickup time. Please obtain a cancellation number from your Customer Service Representative or you may cancel your reservation online or with the mobile app.
Reservations not canceled within 2 hours of the pickup time may be billed in full. In the event you are unable to locate your chauffeur or you require additional assistance, please contact a customer service representative at 800-456-1701.
If your flight is delayed, Metro Cars will make every attempt to reschedule the trip based on your new flight information if it was provided at the time of reservation. If you experience a flight delay or cancellation, please contact us at 800-456-1701 to confirm your new flight information.
