This is a University-Wide Agreement for travel planners.

Collegiate Travel Planners (CTP) is the university’s designated travel partner. CTP offers employees access to contracted discount rates on airfare, hotels, rental cars, and more for business travel. The best contracted discounts are automatically applied when booking with CTP, either through the online travel booking tool or via agent assistance.

CTP is this higher education-specific subsidiary of Corporate Travel Management (CTM). Some materials may be branded as CTM instead of CTP.

 

Purchasing Guidelines

Refer to SPG 507.10-1 Travel and Business Hosting Expense Policy for guidance on booking travel for U-M business.

 

Ordering

Airfare, rail tickets, hotels, car rentals, and black car serives can be booked through CTP using the U-M Travel Booking Tool (Lightning) or via agent assistance.

Online Booking

Access the CTP Travel Portal and Lightning through the Travel Booking tile on Wolverine Access. 

To avoid incurring additional booking charges, book airfare first, then add a hotel and/or car rental to the same reservation as needed. Airfare added to an existing hotel or car rental reservation will result in a second reservation with an additional fee.

Regular business hours are 8am – 6pm Eastern Time. CTP provides 24/7 agent assistance, however, if calling outside of regular business hours additional fees will be incurred.

Airline Price Matching:  during booking, if you see a lower fare on airline retail.com websites than on the Lightning booking tool, please do the following:

1. Email screen shots including dates, carrier, flight number, and class of service, to [email protected].
2. CTP Lead Team will review
3. If the site is determined to have a lower fare with the same flights/class/etc., CTP will price match.
