Supplier Portal Password Policy

When a supplier ID password is created, or an existing supplier ID password is changed, the password must meet the criteria described below. These minimum controls are agreed upon between the supplier and the University of Michigan.

Description

Password Criteria:  

• Password must be a minimum of seven (7) characters.  
• Password must contain one (1) special character.  
• Password must contain one (1) number.  
• Password must not match the User ID.  
• Password cannot be the same password as one of the three previously used passwords. 

The password is case-sensitive. The supplier user should be encouraged to update their password on a regular schedule.
