What if I won a bid but no longer want the item?

A bidder should only submit a bid if they intend on purchasing the bid lot. Bidders must pay for all bid lots awarded within 5 business days of being notified, or they will forfeit all lots. A bidder who withdraws their bid or refuses to pay for 1 or more awarded lots will have their bidding privileges suspended for 30 days. After 30 days, if bidders withdraw any bids or refuse one of their awarded items a second time, their bidding privileges will be revoked indefinitely.

How can I find out what items are going to be available through a sealed-bid auction?

If you're not already on the list to receive our weekly sealed-bid announcements, just send an email to with Sign Me Up in the subject line and you'll start receiving notifications whenever new items are available. We look forward to hearing from you!

When will results be posted?

Bid results are posted on the Property Disposition website only after payment has been received for all lots in a given bid round. That process can take anywhere from 3-10 business days.

Can you ship my items to me?

No, we are not currently able to ship items.

If I win the bid, when and where can I pick up my items?

If you submit the highest bid, we will send you an email with payment instructions. Once we receive payment, we will send you a link to self-schedule your pick-up appointment at the Property Disposition Warehouse (3241 Baxter Road, Ann Arbor, MI, 48109-2155). Appointments will be scheduled Monday-Friday based on current availability.

What if there is a tie?

In the event of a tie, the bid that was submitted first wins the auction, so be sure to submit your bids early!

How do I pay?

Winning bidders must pay for their items before making an appointment to pick them up. We accept PayPal for payment, which works even if you don’t have a PayPal account.

Do you contact me even if I did not win?

If you did not win the bid, you will not be contacted. Only bid winners are contacted.

How do I find out if I won a bid?

Generally, we email bid winners 2-3 days after the bid round ends.

What if I have specific questions about an item?

Please email us the bid item number along with your question(s) and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Unfortunately, we cannot accept phone calls with questions about items, but make every effort to respond to emails very quickly.
