U-M’s expense reporting system to be upgraded this summer

Jan 23, 2024 | News

Procurement Services is partnering with the Shared Services Center (SSC) to upgrade U-M’s expense reporting system to a new software solution called Chrome River, with a targeted go-live date of August 1, 2024. The current expense reporting system, Concur, will be retired on September 30, 2024.

The move to Chrome River was based on feedback from U-M employees, who wanted a better user experience, more integration with travel booking, and more sophisticated reporting. Chrome River is well known for its user-friendly interface and is designed to help users easily submit, track, and manage expense reports. It’s also accessible on any device, making it easy to manage expenses—anytime or anywhere.

One of our main objectives is to ensure that the transition to Chrome River is as seamless as possible for the university community. The Chrome River project webpage will be updated on a regular basis and will be developing a wide variety of training materials, including detailed job aids, eLearning, and office hours.
